Mind Blocked

I can’t. It’s not for me. It’s too hard. I have heard it all. Yet, we all meditate consciously or subconsciously every single day. It is in the lost moments of a thought or intense focus where nothing else exists. In either case, at that single moment in time you are in a meditative state.

It is not a matter of whether you can or can’t meditate, it is more the question of what type is right for you. There is something for everyone, just as there are different forms of exercises and workouts which suit different types of people. Take time to explore and see what works best for you.

It is easy to get frustrated with practicing stillness within your mind when we live in a world that trains our brains for constant stimulation. So be patient with the process. If you struggle with being within yourself for a minute, try taking the marathon training 10% approach. This is done by increase the distance your run by no more than 10% a week. A little bit goes a long way!

Research studies show that over a span of 56 days (2×28 day cycles) meditating 10 minutes a day you can increase the neuroplasticity of the brain. (What that means, is you have essentially increased your brain flexibility which has an endless amount of reflective health benefits by doing this: lower blood pressure, increase memory and focus, reduces negative emotions, helps regulate how your act and react to situations, helps manage stress and anxiety…and many more.) Isn’t it worth a shot?

NXT28 and TotalREWIRE introduce a very practical approach to meditation which anyone can do. NXT28 directs you to the practice of repetition with mantra meditations. Then in TotalREWIRE you explore the different types of ways to connect to the mind and body through guided meditations.
