Reduce time wasted before it’s waisted

“I don’t have time.” It’s the lamest excuse ever. Time is the most wasted thing in life. We are all guilty. Think of all the times throughout the day where you spend it doing things which aren’t productive or healthy. Having a cocktail, scrolling through Swiggy or Deliveroo looking at desserts, smoking, waiting for an auto to take you 1km, gossiping.

What if you replaced those moments wasted on things which had value and benefit to your health? 10 minutes of doing squats and push-ups is 10 minutes more than you did yesterday or the day before. 10 minutes a day adds up to almost 5 hours a month of exercise you would have never done. That is a productive win! You have got the time. You just need to take the first step towards using it more mindfully.

So why don’t you use the time you waste to make sure it doesn’t show up on your waist!

REWIRE28 has been designed to help you live a healthier lifestyle without cramping your daily schedule. Practicing daily ritual over time becomes as second nature as brushing your teeth.

Balancing the scales

How many time have I heard, “I don’t know how I got this way.” That is simply not the truth. So let’s start with being honest with yourself. Because no progress will ever be made unless you can be realistic to how you got to where you are. Once you can do that, you can move forward in the right direction.

Part of being honest with yourself is knowing your input and output. This is the simple equation to keeping the scales balanced with the body.

Too much food and not enough movement the scale is tipped. Too much movement and too little fuel your scale again is off balance. This applies to your mental wellness too.

If you are finding your scales off balance start from the beginning with logging your daily eating routine. Write down when, what and how much you eat for a week. Also track your daily movement. This includes any workouts you do, how long, what type and intensity it is. Also mark how many steps you are taking a day. (If you don’t have a fitness tracker you can get a pedometer or track from your smart phone.)

Once you do this, you will have a realistic picture of what your input and output is and know exactly what is off balance. Then like any scale take away a little and add a little to each side to gradually gain the balance. Anything drastic will never allow stability. Once you find the balance this way, it is easier to maintain it.
